How to Fall from Grace

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” – Galatians 5:1-4 KJV

The word grace here is translated from the Greek word charis which means; as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ, favor, gratitude, thanks, kindness.

This is important to remember your adversary the devil is as a roaring lion, going to and from seeking whom he may devour. His attacks can be violent in words of subtle in thought in order to gain control over your mind and thereby your heart. The only way to defend against his lies and his leaven is to know the truth and believe it. The strength of sin is the law and the law is the knowledge of sin thus, through entertaining thoughts of past transgressions can bring you right back under the law. Recognize those thoughts are from Satan after you have repented from something God forgets it, He lets it go, can you? TFor the war is for your very soul and you are save by grace through your faith. Satan cannot attack grace directly, but he can steal your salvation by attacking your faith that you have grace and therefore, are saved. This will lead to hopelessness which will give ample opportunity to draw back to the old life you left behind in your thirst for righteousness in the pursuit of Jesus Christ. Know that the belief of Once Saved Always Saved is a lie for Jesus said “He that endures until the end, the same shall be saved” (Matt 24:13) The idea that salvation cannot be lost is contingent on salvation that’s been acquired. And this is that process that the devil so vehemently opposes. The Lord designed it this way to try His people and break them of the sinful nature that came in through Adam’s fall from grace.

The Apostle Paul writes,

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” – Ephesians 6:11-13 KJV

Even though Paul makes it clear that our struggle is not against other people by flesh and blood, but against spiritual enemies we tend to forget that when emotions come into play. In that have we put on the armor of God doing all we can to stand in meekness? For the joy of the Lord is your strength that is made perfect in weakness. Must you win the argument?

To the Corinthians he writes something similar,

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” – 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV

Don’t get ahead of yourself and fall into wrath in revenging hat you see darkly in the flesh as disobedience, let patience have her perfect work in you first and then you will see clearly the Christ Jesus.

The Deception of Condemnation

It is a mental war of attrition that each person is supposed to concentrate on first before anything else and when you fall we are to count it as producing patients,

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” – James 1:2-4 KJV

Do not receive the condemnation of the devil when you error into sin for it is inevitable.Our Father knows that we were going to fall, he laid the rock of offense within Zion, to make us stumble. This is what the devil doesn’t want you to remember when he’s lying to you with his condemnation producing thoughts like,

JUST SAY NO

“You forgot to be obedient yet again, you need to try harder in prayer.”

“Didn’t you repent, you know that means turn away, are you lying to God?”

“Having fallen from His grace last time you knew better.”

“Pray without ceasing and beg for forgiveness; Mercy O Lord!”

“If you were really following Jesus, you wouldn’t have done that, just give up”

Note:
Satan doesn’t address you when he speaks, he talks in the first person.

For example: instead of saying you failed again, the thought will be “I failed again.”

The devil knows that continuing to ask forgiveness is a work of the law for such then is not done in your heart by the faith that you were forgiven the first time you asked; and whatever is done not in faith is sin (Rm 14:23) But we have an advocate to the Father in our savior Jesus Christ who is faithful to keep his promise of salvation to all that repent and call upon his name as Lord.

Remember that God changes not;

“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” – Micah 7:18-19 KJV

God completely forgets your transgression ever happened one you repent of it sincerely no matter if you fall again to it all a person needs to do is repent.

What a person believes in their starts in their mind

Your thoughts soon become words and those words can turn into actions;
Actions can then become habits and habits define your character;
A person’s character will determine their destination.

People’s thoughts will become their words and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, This is why Paul instructs us to take into captivity thoughts that are contrary to the knowledge of God and His mercy through Christ Jesus. If not resisted then negative words have a greater chance of becoming actions after confessing them again and again; it is the same principle of faith in action as it is for ill professions. The word itself has no power, it is a persons belief in it that word whether they are good or bad.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” – Proverbs 18:21 KJV

Now that a person has trained themselves in actions, such will become a habit; for it is the sin that dwells with a person that rules the fleshly actions.

“For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.” – Romans 7:15-20 KJV

And you think you have problems…

As Paul Chronicled his struggles with sin residing in his flesh, even though he knew a better way otherwise in the law of Christ, he notes that by sinning he then becomes again under the law of Moses agreeing with it by default because of his error. Whereas his intention was for good, he lacked the ability to execute his thoughts into actions stating, “for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.” Addressing that is was no longer him that was sinning having already agreed with sin allowed it to run ruff-shot within his flesh. Given over to it’s influence he no longer was in control, but stating further on that the sin within him was “exceedingly sinful” …

This pattern of predictable decline again, started with an idea which is orchestrated to manipulate a persons character. The goal of such is to draw them back under the law through works done without faith then ultimately when that reaps no reward, the devil will try to lure people back into a sin lifestyle mixing their beliefs with their past sinful behaviors out of frustration. Then its game over and many don’t even know it. Paul told Timothy that some men’s sins are apparent and go before them to judgment while some men’s follow after them. Best to be judged in this life while there is time; for repentance for such is the character of a man’s heart in humility to the Lord.

“And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:61-62 KJV

Your either in or our out, either hot or your cold, no one can serve two masters. It is clear that going back to the world negates the fitness of a person for the kingdom of heaven. This, it is the most important thing for a person to know the truth for themselves by diving into the Word of God and learning Jesus Christ.

It is the character of a man’s heart is how Jesus Christ will judge us to be worthy. A person’s character determines their eternal destination and there is only one truth, one way, one light in the word who is the only door into the sheepfold, Glory be to God for our Lord and savior Jesus Christ who preached “repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”

Save for the tribe of Levi who where the Lord’s priest, out of 602,000,000 Israelites that came out Egypt following Moses, only 2 made it into the promised land.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” – Matthew 7:1-14 KJV

Don’t let Satan persuade you with his ideas into error, keep your Helmet of Salvation on, keep the faith, know the word of God, resist the devil and he will flee. May the everlasting grace and the precious righteousness of Jesus Christ our co laborer in truth keep you in peace, God bless you and take care.
